The story begins with a German dude from Solingen, Germany: Peter Henckels. The brand was renamed by Johann Abraham Henckels after himself when he took over. I like his gusto.
Zwilling is German for Twin. The company was founded in 1731 by Peter and his logo makes the company one of the oldest trademarked businesses. Johann, Peter’s son, took over later.
